Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building
construction company, announced today that its subsidiary, Tutor Perini
Building Corp., achieved Phase I Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for
Panorama Tower’s Parking Garage. This is a significant milestone and the
achievement of an ambitious goal, completing 425,136 square feet of the
parking garage within ten months, thereby permitting the 1101 Brickell
office tenants and Florida International University students to utilize
this parking garage as construction continues above.
Panorama Tower will be the tallest residential building on the eastern
seaboard south of New York, rising to monolithic proportions of 830 feet
over the Miami skyline as an iconic, global landmark. Panorama Tower’s
project scope of work includes construction of a new 83-story mixed-use
residential development situated on the largest parcel of property in
the epicenter of Brickell Avenue.
This spectacular project consists of 821 luxury rental apartments. The
19-story pedestal will contain over 100,000 square feet of
medically-oriented office space with a teaching facility. Underneath the
medical facility is a 2,000-car parking garage. Lining the garage to the
east on Brickell Bay Drive will be a 208-room hotel. Both the ground
floor and second level of the pedestal will include over 50,000 square
feet of high-end retail outlets and restaurant space.
The Panorama project was awarded and booked into the Company’s backlog
in the second quarter of 2014.
