NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building
construction company, today announced that its subsidiary, Cherry Hill
Construction, has recently been awarded a contract by the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for the Interstate 83 Exit 18
(Mt. Rose Avenue) Interchange Improvements Project in York County,
Pennsylvania. I-83 is a major highway in south central Pennsylvania. The
contract value is approximately $58.3 million.
The project scope of work consists of the reconstruction and widening of
Interstate 83, including six new and reconfigured interchange ramps,
reconstruction and widening of PA Route 124 (Mt. Rose Avenue), and
reconstruction and widening of SR 2005 (Camp Betty Washington Road &
Haines Road), as well as other side road improvements. The project also
includes the construction of several new and replacement bridges,
culverts, sound walls, sign structures, traffic signals, utility
relocations, highway lighting, stream relocation and mitigation, and
closed-circuit traffic camera installation.
Notice to Proceed will be issued in April 2015 and substantial
completion is scheduled to be achieved in June 2018. The contract value
will be included as part of the Company’s reported first-quarter backlog.
