Tutor Perini Corporation is one of the leading construction companies in the world, with an operating history spanning more than 115 years. We provide general contracting, including building and civil construction, construction management, design-build services, and specialty contracting, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing services to private clients and public agencies in the U.S. and selected overseas locations. Tutor Perini has an unmatched reputation in many niche markets, including the hospitality and gaming industry, corrections, health care, sports, entertainment and education. 2. What services does Tutor Perini provide?

As a general contractor, Tutor Perini is responsible for planning and scheduling the manpower, equipment, materials and subcontractors required for the timely completion of a construction project. In addition, Tutor Perini frequently self-performs many key construction tasks, such as concrete placement and excavation. In addition to the general contracting role, Tutor Perini offers services under construction management or design-build contracting arrangements.

3. How is Tutor Perini organized?

The company has three operating business groups: Civil, Building, and Specialty Contractors.

Our Civil Group is comprised of Perini Civil Construction, the civil operations of Tutor-Saliba and Cherry Hill Construction, Inc., Frontier-Kemper Constructors, Lunda Construction Company, and Black Construction (Guam) and focuses on public works construction primarily in the Western, Midwestern, Northeastern, and Mid-Atlantic states, as well as Guam and the Western Pacific, including the repair, replacement and reconstruction of the public infrastructure such as highways, bridges, tunnels, mass transit systems and waste water treatment facilities.

Our Building Group is comprised of Tutor Perini Building Corp., Rudolph and Sletten, Inc., Keating Building Corp., Perini Management Services, Inc., Roy Anderson Corp. and James A. Cummings, Inc. and focuses on large, complex projects in the hospitality and gaming, healthcare, municipal offices, sports and entertainment, education, transportation, corrections, biotech, pharmaceutical and high-tech markets, as well as diversified construction and design-build services to the U.S. military and government agencies, surety companies, and multi-national corporations.

Our Specialty Contractors Group is comprised of Five Star Electric, Fisk Electric, WDF, Desert Mechanical, Nagelbush Mechanical, Federated Fire Protection, and Superior Gunite and serves to broaden and enhance our mechanical and electrical capabilities. The Specialty Contractors group has a sizable presence in New York, Texas and California and often partners with other Tutor Perini companies on projects throughout the United States.

4. When was Tutor Perini founded?

The company was incorporated in 1918 as a successor to businesses that had been engaged in providing construction services since 1894. The company’s name was changed to Tutor Perini Corporation in 2009 following the merger between Tutor-Saliba Corp. and Perini Corp., which occurred in September 2008.
